Concerts for young audiences have had a special place in the Philharmonie’s artistic programme since its opening, and its award-winning youth programme is cherished and cultivated. Timeless and topical at the same time, the themes and media are tailored precisely to the needs and interests of the respective age group, and their breadth offers world-discoverers enough room for identification, regardless of their mother tongue. When music meets other arts – such as dance, circus, theatre or video – a very unique dynamic and poetry unfolds. The programmes rely heavily on the power of these elements and thus arouse curiosity again and again about the boundless world of sounds, which can be explored by listening or participating.

The Philharmonie’s upcoming programme for children includes “Rondolino“, a musical and interactive spectacle for 2 to 4 year-olds, which will be shown on 5 June at 10.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. and on 6 June at 10.30 a.m., 2.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. It is a production of the Philharmonie Luxembourg in cooperation with the “Musée Dräi Eechelen – forteressehistoireidentités“. “Les Cuivres fraudeurs” is the name of a production by the Philharmonie Luxembourg, Bregenz Festival, Lucerne Festival, KölnMusik and Jeunesse Wien for children aged 5 to 9, with music by Bach, Bernstein, Cheetham, Debussy, Kabalevski and Porter. It will take place on 5 June at 16.00.
