At Burfelt near Insenborn, the Luxembourg Nature and Forestry Administration has set up a forest discovery centre on an 18th century estate. Interactive elements allow visitors to experience nature independently and actively. In addition, a spacious nature trail invites visitors to discover the local flora and fauna.
Information for parents:
- The forest discovery centre is secluded on the shore of the Obersauerstausee lake, west of Insenborn. It can only be reached by a short walk of about 20 minutes. Approach via the N27, Insenborn towards Arsdorf. Open from Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 17.00.
- The nature trail runs past the forest discovery centre for about seven kilometres. The brochure is available here.
- The view from the panorama platform “Belvédère”, which is located directly at the forest discovery centre “Burfelt”, is definitely great. From here you have a wonderful view of the Obersauerstausee.
