Everything you ever wanted to know about the forest can be found, well explained, during a one-hour tour through Weierbësch, Heed and Schleed south of Crauthem. On the approximately 5-kilometre-long “Sentier didactique forestier”, you can learn a lot about the flora and fauna in the forest, but also about its use by humans, on 15 information boards. The tour, which you can start at the car park on Rue de Hellange, runs almost entirely in the shade of the trees, so it is pleasant even in strong sunlight. It can also be done with a pram without any problems. However, you should regularly look out for joggers and cyclists, as there is also a fitness trail and several cycle tracks in the area.

If you still have some energy left after the short hike, a few kilometres further on, not far from the Roeser town hall, in the Rue des Sacrifiés, you will find a huge playground with a castle, gnome houses, water games and much more.

In the municipality of Roeser, more precisely in Peppange, there are two exciting museums next to the monastery. One, the “Musée Rural et Artisanal”, is dedicated to the history of agriculture in Luxembourg. Here you can discover how farmers once lived and worked. The other is the only carriage museum in Luxembourg, where no fewer than 33 historic horse-drawn carriages can be seen. After the visit, you can treat yourself to a cool drink in the “Brasserie du Musée”.
