There’s a total of 6 available bike tours running for a longer period in Luxembourg all the way through until the end of August. This list of routes might encourage you to discover Luxembourg through a new lens.
- ‘Syre-Uelzechtdall Tour’: it’s a 60km long route which will take roughly 6h35 and is considered to be medium level. It will take you through Luxembourg-City and its surrounding areas. For more details, visit vëlosummer.lu.
- ‘Syredall Tour’: this 50km tour will take you about 5h20 and is thought to be medium level. It starts at the station in Roodt-sur-Syre and continues to Mensdorf, Niederanven, Gonderange, Bourglinster from which you’ll see the picturesque castle before continuing to Junglinster, Bech, through the ‘Manternacher Fiels’ nature reserve, back to Roodt-sur-Syre. - ‘Sauer-Musel Tour’: 4h30 for 53km going through the valley of the Sauer and along the Moselle. This tour starts in Wasserbillig, goes to Echternach, through Moersdorf and the area of Luxembourg’s ‘Little Switzerland’. For more detailed information, go to visitluxembourg.lu.
- ‘Family Tour am Westen’: this is an easy 25km bike ride which should only take you about 2 hours. It starts at the carpark in Beckerich and continues through Noerdange, Rippweiler and Schweichertal. More info at visitluxembourg.lu.
- ‘Mam Jangeli bei d’Kätti’: this easy route takes you through the south-east of Luxembourg, goes on for 24km and takes roughly 1h45 to complete. It starts at the old Janglisbunn railway from Remich, through to Bech-Kleinmacher, Remerschen, Ellange and Mondorf-les-Bains. For more information, check out visitluxembourg.lu.
- Minett by bike: is an easy 65km route of about 5h20. It’s in the South of Luxembourg, the Minett region, and it offers multiple alternative loops and shortcuts which can be found at visitluxembourg.lu.

- Some starting points can be accessed by public transportation whilst others offer a car park for you to leave your vehicle. All these routes start on 31 July and end 29 August.
- Be sure to download a GPX or KML application in order to save the maps of the routes and to easily stay on track. You can do this either on the page with the details on the respective tour, contact any of the participating communes or even request a foldable map on the bottom of the vëlosummer.lu main page, with other useful information concerning the tours.
- Don’t forget to collect the stickers to enter the competition.
