The “Vëlosummer” is coming to an end. Since the end of July, a lot of routes all over the country have belonged to cyclists alone and there have been special tours every weekend. The last of the series of events will now take place on 28 and 29 August and lead through the west of the country over 43 kilometres. And the “Castle Tour” lives up to its name: no less than six castles and palaces lie on the way or can be reached by a short detour. The tour starts at the railway station in Mersch and thus allows you to arrive by public transport.
From here, the route first heads west, where several castles and palaces can already be seen in the first few kilometres. From Brouch to Useldange, the route leads through wide fields before the cycle path follows the course of the Attert in Useldange to Colmar. Here, at the border with Éislek, the route makes a virtual U-turn and heads south again to Mersch.
