The Covid 19 pandemic is unfortunately throwing a spanner in the works of the “Schueberfouer” again this year. However, the capital is not doing without funfair flair this summer. Accordingly, the broad summer programme includes plenty of rendez-vous with merry-go-rounds, shooting and game stalls as well as delicious funfair specialities. This Friday, 16 July, for example, sees the launch of “Kiermes am Duerf“, which will take place in various neighbourhoods until 12 September, every day between 11.00 and 20.00.

Attractions can be found in the following places: Place de la Constitution (Gëlle Fra), Place du Puits Rouge (Roude Pëtz), Villa Vauban Park, Place des Martyrs (Rousegäertchen), Place de la Gare, Place Jeanne d’Arc, Place de Roedgen, Park Laval, Park of Merl and Place Thorn. While the rides are free, games and gastronomy are chargeable.

A very special attraction can be found from 30 July to 15 August every day from 11.00 to 20.00 at the “Kinnekswiss“, very close to the Glacis field. There it’s “Kiermes wéi fréier“, with around 20 historical attractions from the years 1886 to 1960 as well as a lot of animations.

A few metres away, on the “Glacis”, where in normal times the “Schueberfouer takes place, the largest funfair in the Greater Region, thrill-seekers get their money’s worth: from 21 August to 12 September a number of attractions can be found here daily from 11.00 to 23.00. Gastronomy is also represented here. Not to be forgotten: The “Mini-Schueberfouer” exhibition, which can be visited from 1 to 31 August in a pop-up store all about showmanship in the Grand Rue. It is a miniature exhibition in 1:87 scale on an area of 16 square metres that will fascinate young and old. The exhibition is open every day between 11.00 and 18.00.
