A trip to Lasauvage is always a little adventurous. For only two narrow roads lead to the small village in the municipality of Differdange, which lies right on the French border. Legend has it that a wild woman once lived in a rock cave in the narrow valley where the first industrial activities took place in the 17th century. They intensified after the discovery of the Minette ore in the 19th century and Lasauvage grew rapidly.

Even today, you can still find installations and buildings in the area that bear witness to this period. Some of them can be found along the “Sentier de la Crosnière”, a nature discovery trail that is especially aimed at children. Various animal pictograms serve as signposts. Signposts explain the flora and fauna and the history of Lasauvage.

The pond behind the church has been charmingly designed. Footbridges and observation platforms have been built here, from which you can watch the ducks, among other things.
