Play a game of table football against a robot, melt steel in a few seconds, or participate in a scientific workshop on cooking. At the Centre des Sciences in Differdange, children and families can discover and explore science and technology through play at 75 interactive workstations.

Anyone who has ever dreamed of becoming an engineer or a researcher, or of one day floating in outer space or programming a robot can give them all a try at the Centre des Sciences in Differdange. The centre was built around the “Groussgasmaschinn”, the world’ s largest combustion engine. This remarkable feat of technology was the heart of the Luxembourg steel industry in Differdange. Children can learn about science and technology through play and try their hand at steelworks professions, in the old workshop opposite the steelworks where the finest technicians once trained for jobs in the steel industry in the southern part of the country. The Science Centre has 75 interactive workstations, where visitors can conduct experiments, e.g., programming a robot. There are also amazing science shows (max. 10 people per show) and workshops organised daily for school groups.
